Things I Wish I Was Told About Marriage

To anyone reading this, count yourself lucky, these are summaries of my experience in marriage after my first marriage to Janet failed.  Only the wise would learn from the experiences of others and do not think they know it all. Marriage is far more than what you people think it is. It's deeper than how it's been painted in movies or soap operas and your marriage can't be successful if you depend on worldly wisdom to administer it.  Let me tell you this first, 60% of your marital success is achieved when you marry the right person that you're both sure God intends that you should be together as husband and wife. If you marry the wrong person, you'll take three times the effort to making it right if you had married the right person. The other percentage lies in living right and facing the demands of marriage.  Permit me to itemize these experiences.  1. No one will ever tell you that marriage requires hard work and a fight Are y...

Things I Wish I Was Told About Choosing A Partner

You can't expect an eagle to walk with a chicken and live to fulfill her purpose. Who are you engaged to be married to? Whom you marry in life determines the kind of experience you'll have in marriage. No matter how strong or great in life you seem to be, if you marry a weakling who's not willing to improve, you'll have to paddle him or her throughout the marital journey. What are the fact you mustn't play with before you choose whom to marry? 1. Who you marry determines whether you'd go further or remain stagnant in life Beyond physical compatibility, there are people you should never join your destiny with theirs in marriage. This is why I'd want you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and don't lean on your own understanding. There are some destinies that won't agree even if they appear compatible in the physical. And you can't know all these except you pray. Marriage isn't just t...

Some Amazing Facts About Love and Lust You Must Know

You don't need to be taught how to express lust because it's in your human nature but you need to learn how to love because it's God's nature.  If you express love to someone who expressed lust to you, if you're not careful, you'll fall into the pit of lust. When you discover lustful signals in your relationship, flee! Many people exposed themselves to the ugly side of lust before they discover that love is beautiful. Take your time to learn rather than be destroyed through lust.  Lust occurs at first sight but love that would stand the test of time will take time to grow.  Lust is the mother of sin when it is conceived and when it is finished, it leads to death. Moreover, the product of love is life, peace and happiness.  Love is not in word or in tongue but in deed. Meanwhile, lust is in word, it'll tell you what he will do if you fulfill its carnal desires.  Lust is highly sensual, in words, it is erotic; in thoughts, it is l...

3 Indispensable Things You Need About Sex

We are creatures wired to have sexual desires except for those who were born or made an eunuch. It's not a crime to feel sexually attracted to the opposite sex but it becomes an issue when you follow the pattern of your desire. Many became victims of sexual sins because they fail to separate what they need from what they want. Singles don't need sex, it's solely reserved for the married. The married shouldn't deprive their partners of sex because they need it. What are the things you need about sex? 1. Knowledge Knowledge is the acquisition of information about a subject matter. It is good to acquire information about sex but it's worst to process the information at the wrong time. Information about sex can be acquired through several means but the most dangerous thing is to go the length of becoming curious to know what you don't need now about it. Children who are not adequately informed about se...

Has God Given You A Vision?

I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. — Acts 26:19 If we lose “the heavenly vision” God has given us, we alone are responsible— not God. We lose the vision because of our own lack of spiritual growth. If we do not apply our beliefs about God to the issues of everyday life, the vision God has given us will never be fulfilled. The only way to be obedient to “the heavenly vision” is to give our utmost for His highest— our best for His glory. This can be accomplished only when we make a determination to continually remember God’s vision. But the acid test is obedience to the vision in the details of our everyday life— sixty seconds out of every minute, and sixty minutes out of every hour, not just during times of personal prayer or public meetings. “Though it tarries, wait for it…” ( Habakkuk 2:3 ). We cannot bring the vision to fulfillment through our own efforts, but must live under its inspiration until it fulfills itself. We try to be so practical that we forget the v...
