The Greatest Distraction You Must Avoid

Quite a lot of people are putting the cart before the horse while they think that's the most important thing they should do in life. Many are busy chasing pleasure when a whole lot is at stake concerning their lives.

Unfortunately, the society we live in has made relationship, marriage and sexual intimacy to be the most sought-after things you must pursue in life. Even many relationship counselors on social media made it an important aspect of their messages.

Don't get me wrong, it's necessary but it's not that important as we place much emphasis on it. How can you learn so much about sex, marriage and how to attract the right partner when the most important aspect of your life - your relationship with God is nonexistent? Whether you agree with me or not, it's the greatest distraction in life. Avoid it.

There are two categories of people in life who will be distracted. They are;

1. Teenagers who are pursuing...

Love relationship.

I felt I came from a different world when I see lots of teenagers around me and those who just escaped their teenage years investing so much of their lives and destinies on relationship when they haven't discovered what life is worth living for.

I'm like, did I ever passed the teenage years? Of course, I was once a teenager but thank God relationship wasn't in my agenda then. Thank God for mom's prayer!

Dear teenager, let me tell you the gospel truth, pursing a love relationship is the greatest distraction you can ever give yourself. Do you know what it takes to maintain a love relationship? It's far from what you watch in Zee world or in Telemundo.

Relationship is for the mature - emotionally, spiritually, financially, mentally and morally.

Don't let anyone deceive you, you don't need a boyfriend or girlfriend relationship now that you're young. Don't waste the morning period of your life on unnecessary things. All that you need is to discover God's purpose for your life and to know God personally, intimately and experientially.

Don't be a church goer or a church member who lacks recognition in heaven but has an identity in hell. Get serious with God.

There are many things you need to discover about God that a love relationship will be a total distraction. Don't be religious, have an intimate relationship with God.

Life becomes very easy when you're sold out to God and you're exploring an inexplicable depth of intimacy with Him. Who tells you you'd be lonely or it would be boring?

When you have an intimate relationship with God, it'll become very easy for you to know who to marry without having to read 35 Ways of Attracting Mr. Right or Avoiding Miss Wrong.

I may have once posted that on social media (How to attract Mr. Right or avoid Miss Wrong) but now I have repented. What you need as a teenager is to establish your root in God so that you can live a better and more fulfilling life than your parent.

"Mofe Lowo Ju Daddy Mi" is more than a song, you must pay the price to be connected to God and discover His purpose for your life.

2. Looking for whom to marry when you don't know...

God's purpose for your life.

Marriage was created for the fulfillment of God’s purpose, it wasn't created solely for pleasure - sex, making babies and the likes. The only way you can get the best out of your marriage is when you discover God's purpose for your life and marry someone that suits that purpose.

Majority of people marry for pleasure or a purpose other than God's. If you don't know God's purpose for your life and you're fulfilling it, you'll be distracted from knowing it if marriage is the only thing you're chasing.

Hear these facts: you will abuse God's purpose for marriage when you marry without knowing God's purpose for your life. Your marriage will be a mess when you marry someone that doesn't know God's purpose for his or her life.

The most important thing in life is to seek God early and find Him. Jesus affirmed this in Matthew 6:33. You'll be distracted in life if the mundane things are what you're chasing after. How can you become all that God wanted you to be when you don't know why you're here or you don't even have a personal relationship with Him?

No wonder the devil is not moved when we organize more of marriage seminars and conferences so far it doesn't draw men back to their Creator. It's good to marry right, trust me, but they are among the other things that God promised those who seek Him.

Have you prayerfully discovered who you are, why you're here and where you're going to? Do you know those things that you can do but they're lying fallow in you while you're busy running after who to marry and who not to marry?

Who are you seeking: Mr. Right or Miss Perfect or God? Don't be distracted! Seek God first and you'd discover that it's easy to get those things that seem difficult that the society preaches so much about.

Sisters, Help Brothers o!

It is commonly said that behind every successful man, there is a woman. And the kind of woman who stood behind this successful men are either their mothers or wives. However, a man doesn't become successful in marriage, he has started the journey prior to it. Dear sisters, what are you bringing into marriage?  I have heard sisters who say they do not want to marry "Too spiritual" brothers and honestly, I don't know what kind of man they want. Maybe I should help you out, it's better to marry a spiritual brother than to marry a carnally driven man because to be carnally minded is death (destruction) and to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  You can't marry a man who is in between the two options. It's either he's hot or cold and it's a tragedy to be lukewarm. I can go ahead to tell you the implications of being lukewarm or cold in marriage.  It's even better to marry a spiritual and romantic brother than to ...
