Don't Give Him An Inch

Who do you think I'm referring to? Can you guess? Anyways, it's not what you think - your boyfriend. Nay! But the person is close to you even than your boyfriend or girlfriend. 

There are many people in life who have given him an inch in life, and the outcome of their lives were catastrophic. He is so smart that he exercise his influence in the life of all those who gives him an inch in their lives and relationship. 

He can enter into your boyfriend, girlfriend or anyone close to get into your life. When you give him an inch, he becomes a ruler in your life and it'll be difficult for you to get him out. It's easy for a king to be enthroned but very difficult to get him out of the throne. 

Who is the person? 

He's the devil. Satan. Call him all the names you can. Oftentimes people blame the devil in life for their misdeeds. But is the devil to be blamed? 

You can't blame the devil for what you did if you haven't given him an inch in your life. The devil is a spirit and he works through the soul of those who are not Christ-like. Do you know that if you give him an inch, he will become a ruler in your life? 

The sum of the devil's operation in the life of mankind is that he comes to steal, kill and destroy. If you give him a place in your life and relationship, he will go a mile. 

Before you say it's the work of the devil, here's how people give him a place in their lives and relationship?

1. Through anger

Note this, anger rest in the bosom of fools. If you haven't worked on yourself to overcome anger, then the devil is the ruler of your life. Anger is the manifestation of the flesh and a true child of God shouldn't manifest this. 

When you get angry and you begin to vent it on people or on things, the devil is at work in your life. A sane mind can't be angry and destroy things. It's anger that makes a man end up beating his wife to coma, the same wife he vowed to love; or for the woman to destroy things when she's angry. 

The devil destroys people's life and relationship through the spirit of anger. And no angry person is worth living with. You can't live with the devil and you'd expect that he won't harm you. 

Are you nursing the spirit of anger? It's good you ask God to deliver you before it destroys you, your relationship and life. 

2. Through your thoughts 

An idle mind they say is the devil's workshop. What kind of thoughts flow through your mind?

If you sow a thought, it'll become seed and if you nurture it, it'll become an action. Why people act the way they do is a function of their thought life. 

What you think most or focus your mind to will determine your life. The issues of life emanates from the heart. This is why if you don't guard your heart with all diligence, terrible issues will proceed out of it. 

What do you feed your mind with? Your eyes and ears are entry points into your heart. What you see and hear can inform your words, thoughts and actions. If your mind is vacant without God on the inside, the devil will take his abode in you and order your life the way he wants. 

God is not the brain behind suicide, drinking poison or doing anything contrary to life and godliness but the devil. 

3. Through evil appearance 

Temptation is not a sin but when you fall into it, it'll destroy you. 

Do you know that the devil is the brain behind every appearance of evil such as premarital sex, extramarital sex, kissing, petting, caressing each other's sexual organs, and so on when you're not married? You'll just think it's what you want or a choice you're making but the outcome of it will be grievous. 

When your boyfriend or girlfriend is tempting you to indulge in evil practices, then there's more to it than meet the eye. 

Rather than tolerate the appearance of evil, isn't it just better you flee? Joseph fled and he saved his life. Unfortunately, brother Samson couldn’t flee and his eyes were plucked out. 

Before you become an unprepared parent, a victim of premarital or extramarital sex, abortion and the likes; flee every appearance of evil so that you can save yourself and the destinies attached to you. 

If you give the devil an inch in your life, he'll become the ruler. If you allow him to stir up anger, evil thoughts or trap you with youthful lust, he'll destroy you completely. 

Check this present relationship of yours: are you giving the devil an inch in it? Would you please the 'devil' to disobey God? Make amends now and give your life to Christ for preservation.
